Create or update products, SKUs, multilingual content, categories, SEO URLs and product detail tabs from a single Excel workbook. Built for stores with large catalogs, complex variants and multilingual content.

Products and SKUs

• Import product name, description, images, status, weight, tax class, tags and brand.
• Import multi-variant SKUs with price, compare-at price, cost, stock, SKU images and default SKU.

Multilingual content

• Product name, description, meta title, meta description and keywords support multiple languages.
• Variant names and values can be translated.
• Filled languages are updated; empty languages keep their existing values.

Categories, attributes and SEO

• Categories can be referenced by ID or path, such as Clothing/Men/T-Shirts; missing categories can be created automatically.
• Import product attributes, custom options, tags and brand.
• Write SEO aliases, SEO groups and meta data during import.
• When the product detail tabs plugin is installed and enabled, tabs can be created during import.

Three update modes

• Create only: create new products and skip existing ones.
• Create and update: create new products and update existing ones.
• Update only: update existing products without creating new ones.
• A row-level action field can override the mode with create, update or skip.

Safe updates

• Blank cells keep existing values during updates.
• Partial SKU updates are supported; SKUs not included in the file are preserved.
• Variant order can change while matching existing SKUs, stock and translations.
• Categories, attributes, images and translations are kept when left blank.

Templates, error reports and export

• Built-in Excel template with examples and field instructions.
• See totals for created, updated, skipped and failed products.
• Download an error report for failed rows, fix them and import again.
• Export products by category, brand, status or product IDs, then edit and re-import.

How to use

1. Open Products → Product Import in the admin panel.
2. Download the Excel template.
3. Fill in products on the products sheet and SKUs on the skus sheet.
4. Optionally fill in translations and variant_translations.
5. Choose an import mode and upload the file.
6. Review the parsed result and start the import.
7. Check the result; download the error report for failed rows if needed.

Field tips

• product_code is the unique product identifier. If left blank, the default SKU is used as the product code.
• Leave variants empty for simple products; use variant combinations for multi-variant products.
• Variant order follows the first SKU row. All SKUs of one product must use the same variant dimensions.
• Image paths are relative to the public directory. Separate multiple images with semicolons. Upload images to the server or media manager first; external image URLs are not downloaded automatically.
• Categories can be IDs or paths such as Clothing/Men/T-Shirts; separate multiple categories with semicolons.
• Use Name:Value;Name:Value for product attributes and custom options.
• Use Title###Content for detail tabs and separate multiple tabs with #@#.

Notes

• Test with a small file first to confirm fields, image paths and variant combinations.
• Back up product data before running update-only or large batch updates.
• Product detail tabs and SEO URLs require the corresponding plugins to be installed and enabled; products and SKUs can still be imported without them.
• Blank cells keep existing values during updates. Use the product edit page to clear content intentionally.
