Fast Image Picker
Fully replaces the native file-manager image picker. Four thumbnail safeguards: (1) serve cache directly without GD, (2) skip oversized images, (3) cap generation concurrency at 2, and (4) static-first in the form — once a thumbnail exists the form loads /cache static files only, so re-renders produce zero backend requests. This prevents Cloudflare 520 caused by saturating the PHP pool with runtime GD decoding plus one backend request per image

Plugin Description
Fast Image Picker
Take over the native "File Manager" image selection pop-up in the background: Open faster, fill in immediately after selection, and avoid filling up the PHP pool with thumbnail generation.
"## Function
- ** Cover all image selection entries in the background ** : This plugin takes over the "Select Image" in the main product image, image collection, SKU image, video cover, and decoration components.
- ** Faster opening ** : Pop-up Windows are directly rendered on the current page, eliminating the need to reload the entire set of backend and front-end resources using iframe. The directory only requests the current level, and even with tens of thousands of files in the gallery, it is still as fast.
- ** Fill in immediately after selection ** : Click "Confirm Selection" to synchronize the callback. It does not depend on the loading status of the iframe, and there will be no "click but no response".
- ** Thumbnail cache direct output ** : Once the thumbnail has been generated, the cache file is directly output without calling the image processing library (the fastest path).
- ** Super large images directly to the original image ** : Images with a pixel count exceeding the upper limit (default 8 million) will not generate thumbnails and will directly display the original image to avoid an empty response after decoding the entire image and consuming all memory (Cloudflare 520).
- ** Generate up to 2 thumbnails simultaneously ** : Requests that fail to secure a spot will be directly given to the original image - the image won't split, it will just be a bit larger, and it won't fill up the memory by decoding a dozen images at the same time.
- ** Background form read-only static file ** : After the thumbnail is generated once, the form reads only the static file in the cache, and the page is repeatedly re-rendered without generating background requests.
- ** Abnormal Automatic Rollback ** : When a script error occurs, it automatically returns to the native selector, and the "Native Selector" link is also retained at the bottom of the pop-up window. The upload still goes through the system's built-in interface, and the compression/WebP of ImageCompress takes effect as usual.
Use
- Backend → ** Plugin → Ultra-Fast Image Selector → Installation → Enable **;
- Refresh the background page (it is recommended to press Ctrl+F5 to force a refresh once to avoid caching old scripts);
- Open the selector at any "Select Image" entry: The directory only loads the current layer, and the images and videos are displayed in a grid pagination on the right. You can search by file name and check "Include subdirectories" for in-depth search.
- After selection, click "Confirm Selection" to fill in the blanks. When you need the system's native selector, click on "Native Selector" at the bottom of the pop-up window.
- After disabling or uninstalling the plugin, immediately restore the native selector and the behavior of "the form displays the original image".
